Chief Financial Officer (Interim)
As the Interim Chief Financial Officer of ORNL, Mr. Petzold leads the Laboratory's Business Services Directorate, with responsibility for directing the ORNL budgeting process and business management functions and delivering relevant and reliable financial analysis and reporting. The directorate's functions include procurement, accounting, business analysis, business systems, pension and savings operations, small business contracting, and prime contract administration. Mr. Petzold also serves as Chief Financial Officer for UT-Battelle, LLC.
Mr. Petzold earned his undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University in Information and Operations Management. He also received a Masters Business Administration from Colorado State University and a Masters of Accounting from Chatham University. Prior to joining ORNL in 2021 as the Director of Business Operations, Andrew served in several roles at Naval Reactors Laboratory Field Office and Naval Reactors Headquarters.
