91°µÍø’s Ben Betzler has been elected to the executive committee of the American Nuclear Society’s Reactor Physics Division.
The American Nuclear Society has elected Ben Betzler, from the Department of Energy’s 91°µÍø, to the executive committee of its Reactor Physics Division.
Betzler will serve on the committee for a three-year term. The Reactor Physics Division’s objectives are to promote the advancement of knowledge and understanding of the fundamental physical phenomena characterizing nuclear reactors and other nuclear systems.
Betzler, a reactor physics nuclear engineer in ORNL’s Reactor and Nuclear Systems Division, performs research on current and advanced nuclear reactor technologies and is now leading the design and analysis area of the . He received his Ph.D. in nuclear engineering and radiological sciences from the University of Michigan in 2014
