Arthur J. Ragauskas receives 2017 Academia Distinguished Services Award

Dr. Arthur J. Ragauskas, University of Tennessee and Biosciences Division Governor's Chair in Biorefining, has received The University of California-Riverside Bourns College of Engineering – Center for Environmental Research and Technology (CE-CERT) annual Academia Distinguished Service Award. The award was based on collaborative research activities related to bioenergy and pretreatment.

The continued collaborative efforts by Dr. Ragauskas with Professor Charles Wyman and Dr. Charles Cai have been a key in helping advance CE-CERT’s innovated biofuel conversion technologies through the BioEnergy Science Center (BESC), the US Department of Energy Bioenergy Technologies Office project, and the USDA Biomass Research and Development Initiative.

The award was presented to Dr. Ragauskas at the annual Board of Advisors’ dinner, which was held on March 17, 2017, at the University of California-Riverside campus.
