Making the switch: Lab innovates for the electric grid’s smallest components

Seven ORNL technologies win R&D 100 research awards

High Flux Isotope Reactor named Nuclear Historic Landmark

The High Flux Isotope Reactor, or HFIR, now in its 48th year of providing neutrons for research and isotope production at the Department of Energy’s 91°µÍø, has been designated a Nuclear Historic Landmark by the American Nuclear Society (ANS).
