Abstract
This report describes new experimental results on the microstructure and mechanical performance of the friction stir weld (FSW) performed on neutron-irradiated steel with helium. The report focuses on helium-related issues (helium-induced weld degradation and cracking) targeting the repairing the irradiated NPP components and part, containing helium.
