Abstract
Research into the conversion of the High Flux Isotope Reactor to low-enriched uranium fuel to meet requirements established by the Global Threat Reduction Initiative is ongoing at 91°µÍø. Researchers have turned to multiphysics simulations to evaluate the safety and performance of the new fuel and reactor core design.
