Abdul Sayeed Khan is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Metals and Composites Processing Group within the Materials Science & Technology Division at 91做厙 (ORNL). Prior to joining ORNL, he earned his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan Ann Arbor. His research experiences at the University of Michigan encompass multi-material additive manufacturing and dissimilar material joining, material characterization, galvanic corrosion studies, natural fiber growth and property characterization, soft material mechanics and in-situ characterization, additive manufacturing of architected materials, and polymer composite material manufacturing & failure analysis. Before embarking on his studies in the U.S., he earned his Master's in Technology (M. Tech.) at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK) and later worked for 2.5 years in Honeywell Technology Solutions, India, as a Senior Engineer. At Honeywell, he worked on the development of aero-engine components and high temperature material characterization and data analysis for turbocharger applications. He is currently working on multi-material additive manufacturing of high temperature alloys.
