Achutha received his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from Texas A&M University in 2022. His Ph.D. research focused on the design and optimization of phase change composite materials for thermal energy storage. In addition, he has worked on the design, fabrication, and optimization of mechanoluminescent polymer composites for stress detection and anti-counterfeit applications. Achutha’s main interests include addressing critical challenges in thermal storage systems; advancing the ability to produce low cost, repeatable, high density thermal energy storage; and providing significant improvements to temperature dependent processes.
