Bio
I am an analytical chemist working with nuclear fuel in pellet forms. I fabricate uranium based pellets, but my forte is ICP-MS and mass spec in general. I am also currently an LSM in the NFD section within NEFCD. I received LSM of the Year award last year for all my dedication to keeping the lab safe and clean.
I enjoy learning new things and engaging with lots of different people at the lab.
I was born and raised in Southern NM and eventually moved up to Albuquerque for work with the State of NM looking at metabolites of toxins of chemical warfare agents. From there I ended up at LANL where I learned nuclear fuel and uranium work.
In 2021 I moved to Tennessee and spent some time at Y-12 before I transitioned over to ORNL.
