Bio
Austin Carroll is a Technical Professional with the Synthetic Biology group at 91°µÍø. He earned his B.S. in Chemistry in 2014 from Rockhurst University in Kansas City, MO. In 2019, he earned his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of California – Davis. At UC-Davis, he worked with Dr. Shota Atsumi, studying cyanobacteria for carbon sequestration and chemical production. At ORNL, he works with Dr. Adam M. Guss, studying non-model organisms with an emphasis on lignin and plastics waste valorization.
