User Science Support lead for the Department of Energy Systems Biology Knowledgebase () - a research platform for systems biology. KBase integrates a variety of data and analysis tools from DOE and other public resources, into an easy-to-use platform that leverages scalable computing infrastructure to perform sophisticated systems biology analyses. KBase is a freely available and developer extensible platform where scientists can analyze their own data within the context of public data, using a variety of open-source bioinformatics apps to power their workflows.

My role focuses on advancing the scientific output of the KBase user community, organizing training and engagement activities, and supporting research efforts of the program. Since 2014, I have worked with the KBase team, alongside staff at the  and the , to support multi-omics research across national laboratories, universities, and research institutes. I support research by developing strategy for user science, analyzing user publications, building training materials, creating technical documentation, writing scientific protocols, and engaging in research collaborations to advance the use of the KBase platform and DOE BER resources.

Prior to working at ORNL in the Computational and Predictive Biology Group of BSD, I was as an academic coordinator at the  for the Energy Science and Engineering graduate program.

My research interests include systems biology, microbial ecology, bioremediation, metal-reducing microorganisms, biology education, and science-technology-society studies.
