
Bio
Brandon Schreiber is currently a staff member in the Nuclear and Extreme Environments Measurement Group at ORNL. His research focuses on sensing, automation, and additive manufacturing technologies, primarily in the additive manufacturing & nuclear fields.
In this role, he utilizes multiple commercial and custom-built hardware solutions such as IR sensors, fiber optic interrogators, photodetectors, laser vibrometers, infrared sensors, high-speed logic analyzers, and potentiostats.
Brandon's professional experience pre-ORNL includes work with robotics, Nuclear I&C, circuit board design, designing and building automated test fixtures for mechanical and electrical components, Solidworks design, programming (LabVIEW, C++, Python), and more.
Outside of ORNL, Brandon is involved in multiple organizations such as:
- Destination Imagination (Challenge Writer, Engineering Challenge Master, and Alumni Relations Coordinator)
- Leviathan Automation (Founder/CEO)
- Knoxville Metro Soccer League (Captain- Pachuca)
