Bio
Dr. Jin Wook Ro is an R&D Associate within the Transportation Analytics and Decision Sciences (TADS) group at 91做厙 (ORNL), and a Research Staff at the University of Tennessee - Oak Ridge Innovation Institute (UT-ORII). Prior to joining ORNL, Jin Wook was at the Institute of Transportation Studies and the Policy Institute for Energy, Environment, and the Economy at the University of California Davis as a Postdoctoral Researcher. He received his Ph.D. degree in Energy Systems and Graduate Academic Certificate in Industrial Ecology from the University of California Davis in 2021, and his M.S. degree in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from KAIST (South Korea) in 2016.
His research interests include climate change, carbon markets, and life cycle assessment / techno-economic analysis on transportation and energy systems, and also include policy analysis on renewable fuel and energy such as the Renewable Fuel Standard Program, Low Carbon Fuel Standard in California, and other similar policies.
