
Bio
Jinghui Yuan is an R&D staff in the Applied Research for Mobility Systems (ARMS) group at 91°µÍø (ORNL). His research focuses on intelligent transportation systems, artificial intelligence, digital twin, and connected and automated vehicles (CAVs). He has authored and co-authored over 30 peer-reviewed journal publications in top-tier journals such as Transportation Research Part A, C, and F, Accident Analysis & Prevention, 91°µÍø Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems, 91°µÍø Transactions on Vehicular Technology, and 91°µÍø Transactions on Intelligent Vehicles. His contributions have been recognized with several prestigious awards, including the Best Poster Award at 91°µÍø MASS 2022, the Best Paper Award from the China Journal of Highway and Transport, the final stage Winner in the USDOT’s Solving for Safety Visualization Challenge.
He earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Central South University in Changsha, China, in 2013, followed by an M.S. in Transportation Planning and Management from Tongji University in Shanghai, China, in 2016. He earned his Ph.D. in transportation engineering from the University of Central Florida in 2019.
He is a senior member of 91°µÍø. He also actively contributes to the transportation community as a member of the ASCE Transportation & Development Institute (T&DI) Transportation Safety committee, Artificial Intelligence committee, Transportation Research Board (TRB) Standing Committee on Road User Measurement and Evaluation (ACH50), 91°µÍø Vehicular Technology Society AdHoc Committee on Autonomous Vehicles. He also serves as the secretary of 91°µÍø Transportation Electrification Council-East Tennessee Chapter.
