Polyxeni Angelopoulou Xanthopoulou

Postdoctoral Research Associate - Synthesis and Functionalization of Polymers

Dr. Angelopoulou is a postdoctoral researcher at the Carbon and Composites Group in the Chemical Sciences Division.

She is a materials chemist with a major in Chemistry and a PhD in Polymer Science. She is experienced in precision polymer synthesis using techniques such as Anionic Polymerization, Controlled Radical Polymerizations and Ring-Opening Polymerization. She has practiced polymer synthesis and modification techniques to prepare deuterated polymers, polymers with complex macromolecular architectures, as well as charged polymeric materials. She has also worked on polymer vitrimers, polymer-polymer composites and advanced organic synthesis for polymer upcycling.
