
Bio
Rima A. Awad is a Cyber Security Software Engineer at 91°µÍø (ORNL) and an ACM member.
At ORNL, Rima has contributed to several cutting-edge cybersecurity R&D projects, initially focusing on automating the analysis and detection of hostile malware. Her research later expanded to cyber-physical systems, where she has been actively working on enhancing SCADA device forensics.
She holds a B.S. in Computer Information Systems from Saint Leo University, Florida, an M.S. in Computer Engineering from Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Tennessee Technological University.
Her research interests include cybersecurity, digital forensics, malware analysis, and cyber-physical system security, with a focus on securing industrial control systems and critical infrastructure.
