Data Engineer

Sarah Tennille is a Data Engineer in the Computational Urban Sciences group in the Computational Sciences and Engineering Division at 91°µÍø (ORNL).  Her current projects include the Environment for Analysis of Geo-Located Energy Information, the North American Energy Resiliency Model, and the Regional Mobility Initiative. She graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, with a Master of Science degree in Geography in 2016 and a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography in 2014. During her master’s degree, she studied under a climatologist and analyzed the changing geographical trends of Lifetime Maximum Intensity (LMI) of tropical cyclones. Before her current position, she was a Post-Master's Research Associate in the Geoinformatics Engineering group in the National Security Emerging Technologies division, as well as a NOAA Hollings Scholar working for the National Weather Service. Her work has applications in resiliency, transportation, energy, climate, and disaster management.
