Bio
Scott Jones is a writer, editor, and strategic communications professional with seventeen years of marketing and public relations experience. He has served as lead writer, content project manager, and marketing and strategic communications lead for numerous initiatives at two national labs as well as a freelance writer for the American Association for the Advancement of Science and the popular scientific press. His bylines include LiveScience, U.S. News & World Report, and Space.com, to name a few.

- Serves as ORNL Computing’s communications liaison to federal partner organizations such as the National Cancer Institute, the National Institutes of Health, and the Exascale Computing Project.
- Led ORNL’s strategic messaging for quantum, AI, and data science.
- Served as communications lead for the launch of ORNL’s Quantum Science Center, one of five DOE quantum information science research centers.
