Scott is a Native of East Tennessee. Born in Harriman Tennessee in 1963. Graduated High School in 1981. Graduated From Nashville Auto Diesel with a degree in Auto Mechanics. Married in 1991 to his wife Patty and had 1 son Brendan IN 1994. Scott enjoys Camping and Boating when not at work. Scott also Mentors High School students in First Robotics.

Scott's Career stated as a Class 8 Truck Technician in 1983 which gained him experience in the repairs of Diesel Engines, Transmissions, and complete Truck Cab and Chassis. In 1991 Scott became the youngest Service Manager in the U.S for large Truck Dealership and held this position until 2015 when he was hired by Oakridge National Laboratory. Scott holds the position of Master Technician at the Laboratory.
