
Teja Kuruganti

Bio
Teja Kuruganti is director of the Computational Sciences and Engineering Division in ORNL's Computing and Computational Sciences Directorate.
He joined ORNL in 2003 as a researcher in the Radio Frequency & Microwave Systems group. Since then, he has held several positions, including section head of the Advanced Computing Methods for Engineered Systems, Computational Systems Modeling group lead and Systems Engineering and Cybernetics team lead.
Teja has more than 15 years experience in management and programmatic leadership roles. These include pillar lead for the Grid Modernization Laboratory Consortium for Devices and Integrated Systems and multi-lab lead for Data Integration and Analytics for North American Energy Resilience Modeling.
His research focused on large-scale modeling and simulation of complex systems, data analytics, computational engineering, optimal control systems, wireless communication and sensor networks.
He received his master’s and Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. His research has led to over 200 peer-reviewed publications. He is a senior member of the Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers.
