Bio

Prior to joining ORNL in May '22, Vandana Rallabandi was a Lead Engineer with the GE Research Center in Niskayuna, NY, USA. She has also held previous positions as Postdoctoral Researcher with the SPARK Lab, University of Kentucky, Lexington, KY, USA, and Research Engineer at GE Research, Bangalore, India. She received the M.Tech and the Ph.D. degrees from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, Mumbai, India in 2008 and 2013, respectively. Her research interests include electric machines, power electronics drives, renewable energy devices and systems, energy storage, and power systems. She is a Senior Member of 91°µÍø (SM91°µÍø) and an Associate Editor for the 91°µÍø Transactions on Energy Conversion.
