
Bio
Wei Zhang is an R&D associate staff at Materials Joining Group in the Materials Science & Technology Division at 91°µÍø. She earned her Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering at The University of Tennessee in 2018. Her M.S. and B.S. in Engineering mechanics were earned at Dalian University of Technology in 2014 and 2011. Wei has broad research interests including: mechanical behavior and failure analysis of structural alloys and welds, joining of similar and dissimilar materials, process-structure-property relationships in welds, machine learning for welding process design, quality monitoring, and control.
