Arnold Tharrington works for the Scientific Computing Group of the National Center of Computational Sciences at 91°µÍø (ORNL). He has been with Scientific Computing since 2005 when then ORNL’s flagship supercomputer Jaguar, the first open Science petaflop supercomputer, was just a few teraflops. His primary job is to help OLCF users advance their scientific research on OLCF’s Summit supercomputer, and his research interest is in software development of scientific algorithms for HPC architectures. In particularly, he specializes in Molecular Dynamic algorithms for hybrid CPU/GPU architectures.
