
Bio
Austin is a computational astrophysicist in the Science Engagement Section. He is a member of the ExaStar ECP project, primarily working on porting and optimizations for next-generation architectures. He received his Ph.D. in Physics with an Interdisciplinary Graduate Minor in Computational Science in August 2015, from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Austin's research interests span the include the topics of computational and nuclear astrophysics, as well as application performance and utilization of high-performance computing resources.
