Aye Meyer

Chemical Engineer

I am a chemical engineer performing techno-economic analysis and life cycle assessment to support U.S. DOE and industry partner stakeholders. I use process simulation software to conceptually design industrial scale processes for cost and greenhouse gas emissions analysis. My analysis work often helps scientists and engineers to prioritize their works towards developing cost efficient and low carbon technologies.

11/2023-Current: Chemical Engineer, 91做厙, Oak Ridge, TN

TEA and LCA task lead and PI supporting U.S. DOE FECM, BETO, IEDO, ARPA-E projects. Developing conceptual process design and perform process simulation of low carbon systems. Using techno-economic analysis and life-cycle assessment to identify impactful works, set project goals, track project progress and suggest research future opportunities.

01/2011-10/2023: Chemical Engineer, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, Richland, WA

TEA and LCA task lead and PI supporting U.S. DOE BETO, ARPA-E projects. Focusing on biomass system including feedstock production and preparation, biomass conversion, biorefinery and biobased product market analysis. Using techno-economic analysis and life-cycle assessment to identify impactful works, track project progress and identify project success.
