
Bio
Vimal Ramanuj works on development and application of performance portable codes for reacting multiphase and porous media problems. His current research focuses on high fidelity simulations of multiphysics phenomena in materials synthesis and manufacturing applications. He is one of the developers of the DNS solver, Quilt. He earned his PhD from University of Texas at Arlington where his research focused on modeling of metal/alloy droplet depositions finding application in the 3D printing industry.
Research interests: Reacting Multiphase Systems, Porous Materials, Phase Transformations, Interface Tracking, Direct Numerical Simulations, High Performance Computing.
