
Bio
Zheng Gai is a senior staff scientist at CNMS, ORNL. Zheng joined ORNL in 2005 as a staff scientist after working as a professor, associate professor and postdoctoral fellow at Peking University, from which she received her doctorate in surface science and bachelor’s degree in condensed matter physics. Her research at CNMS focuses on understanding fundamental novel properties of quantum materials in the discipline of condensed matter physics, which includes the growth form and mechanisms, novel magnetic properties, superconductivity, and electronic properties.
