Radioisotope Research and Development
The radioisotope research and development section develops new approaches to isolating accelerator and reactor-produced radionuclides for industrial, research, medical, and national security, applications. Our research includes understanding the fundamental properties of radionuclides, designing and implementing novel radionuclide separation strategies, and expanding their usefulness for the nation.

We maintain, expand, and reestablish radionuclide supplies, and we lead research to explore and understand the use of these radionuclides for medicine and understand the effects of radiation on normal and cancer cells.
